This small market is also called Mercado del Carmen, due to its proximity to the Temple of the same name, with a small chapel inside to worship this Virgin, it is a typical Oaxacan market that is very attractive for those who like to try traditional Oaxacan food and savor the famous pumpkin flower empanadas and chepil or mole tamales accompanied with white atole, being a rainbow of colors, among its flower and fruit stalls, the singing of its tortilla makers offering blanda or Tlayuda, where you can breathe tranquility of the Oaxacan people.
